Someone once said that if there was not already a Sam Tate, someone would have invented him. Sam has done more and lived to tell about it than most men ever get the chance to. His music career alone is one to be proud of. He has toured with some of the greatest names in Folk and Country music. He has written hit songs for many of them including Chely Wright’s “Shut Up and Drive”, Rodney Atkin’s “If You’re Going Through Hell”, Reba McIntyre’s “Somebody” and Emerson Drive’s “Moments” as well as many others. He has been nominated twice for the ACM song of the year and had one Grammy nomination for video of the year with “Moments”. He was voted SESAC Songwriter of the Year and has earned numerous Gold and Platinum records.

The work that Sam is most proud of though, is his work with Wounded Warriors. He sits on the board of the American Freedom Foundation and is a spokesperson for Project Healing Waters. He has hosted numerous events for Wounded Warriors all over the Country and also works closely with Able Forces, an organization that trains and finds career opportunities for wounded vets.
